Wind Generator Our range of compact wind turbines provide between 400 Watts and 3 Kilowatts of power with charging starting at wind speeds as low as 2.5 metres per second (5mph) so that only a gentle breeze is required to generate free electricity. The Wind charger will operate in speeds of up to 20mps above which a safety overload will lock the turbine to prevent damage to the system. Solar PhotoVoltaic Module System Control Unit At the heart of our wind solar hybrid lighting systems is our specially designed system controller. This balances the charging inputs from the wind charger and solar PV modules to ensure effective and efficient operation of the system. It controls switch on and switch off time and gives the option of system dimming if Required. LED Lighting Unit The HYLite luminaires feature the latest high output LED's built into a purpose built housing, the lens is manufactured from high impact materials and the optics are designed to minimise upward light pollution thereby maximising the performance and light towards the ground. The white light produced by our LED's gives the high contrast and colour rendering that has been shown to reduce both crime and accidents when compared to traditional street lighting. Battery Power is stored in zero maintenance deep cycle gel batteries which are hidden below ground in our specially designed waterproof battery box. The design life of the unit is 12 years and this is further prolonged by the use of our intelligent control unit to manage charging and discharging cycles. |
